I love this forum, it is so supportive and uplifting! And about how you look; I say (though it is a very small picture) that you look good! Curvy and beautiful from what I can see. With that said, working out is good for most of us. Regular excersice makes us happier it doesn't have to be two hours at the gym every other day, it can literally be just walking your dog good luck!

My dear, nobody needs to work out unless they want to. As for what I think of your body shape -- well, I think it's just great, but that's not what matters. Do you like your body?

Having said that, there is almost nothing better for improving your health -- besides quitting smoking -- than exercise. It doesn't matter what kind of exercise it is, as long as you enjoy doing it. It doesn't have to involve going to a gym. Your exercise routine could consist of taking the dog for a brisk 45-minute walk every day, and that's great.

If what you're really asking is "Am I too fat?" (you're not), keep in mind that exercise will only do so much to change your basic shape. Exercise improves health and muscle tone, but eating less/eating right is more important for losing weight. Again, I'm not saying you need to lose weight. It's just that a lot of young women feel like they do, and if you're asking everyone "What do you think of my appearance," it makes me feel like you're one of them.

Working out is good for all of us no matter what size shape weight or age.
Working out and exercise are good for everybody and a necessity for an overall healthier balanced way of life. Especially weight training can strengthen your bones and prevent osteoporosis. The endorphins released through exercise are great for mental health as well. Being a certified Nutritional Consultant I have seen overall health improve and many conditions reduced or eliminated by exercise and balanced eating. You look great by the way :)

An Indian outfit can really work well for all the body types including a little chubby and the the perfect hourglass. So just leave the tension of body weight out of your mind and adopt the Indian Salwar kameez and suits dressing style.

I can't see the pic on my phone...maybe you can post pics now...?

On a tangent, I'm more of a stay moving than a workout person. An hour of working out, even every day, doesn't help me...and I only get dates when I'm fat, lol

hope this helps although maybe it is not the answer you are
looking for...

I think when it comes to the question you are asking it is better to ask
someone who is a professional in health. Like when you say “whether or not I
need to workout” personally, I think everyone who can needs to be active in some
way, but not for their looks but to feel and
be healthy. Some people feel better for
working out, it shouldn’t be just about body image, because then it becomes a
slippery sloop of self-loathing when your mind doesn’t see the ideal body you
strive for. If you want to work out, do it for your mind/health more than your
body image. The mind and health comes first. looking fit is a side effect of that.

Still if you want to work out, remember that it is not just
about losing pounds, you have to remember to eat plenty of healthy foods and drink plenty of
water to recharge yourself. Taking care of yourself is more important.

I personally think you look great!

Hi there,

I'm a long time lurker and relatively infrequent commenter here. I think, and hope, that you'll find an incredibly friendly and supportive group here with lots of constructive comments and thoughts on each person's personal style, not body type! Angie has recently posted some great thoughts about self image - maybe go back thru the comments a page or two.

Welcome!

I don't think this is what you are looking for, but I think this is a question for yourself, not for us! And I mean that in a kind way.
It is hard to see you in the photo (small pic + dark), but you look like you have a cute figure (curvy?) The questions are: Do you like how you feel? Can you do the things you want to do (dance, swim, hike, whatever)? For myself, I workout not to have a certain body or certain weight, but to feel good, be with friends, and have fun. Getting fit is a welcome side effect.
TL/DR: You look fine. Workout if you like to workout, and go ahead and wear what you want. You're OK just the way you are.

Hi all, I am new to this and wondered if you can view my profile picture and then comment what you think of my body shape and appearance, and whether or not I need to workout.
