My feet are wide, not because they are fleshy but because my bones are splayed, hence having a wide forefoot and narrow heel. Most shoes rub horrendously because my bones stick out so much. For me, the best flats are flexible and soft, and have some elastic at the heel to hold my foot in. I have the gaping problem when the shoes are too stiff and don't form to my foot. However, bc I have wide big feet I have a hard time fitting them. I am going to try the infamous Me Too brand at DSW later this week. When I find flats I like, I find that they tend to gape out around my foot and that is not flattering. It makes my foot look wider than it is. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this just the way it is with flats? I'd like one that hugs the foot and helps to slenderize my foot as I plan to wear them with skinny jeans. </p> <p>Thanks! </p>
