I was thinking more as outerwear and sometimes inside for short time

Are we talking outerwear?

I wear mine buttoned up unless it's too warm for it. But then I wear it to stay warm, so it makes sense lol

I think you should feel free about either way. You'll find some outfits where a boxier proportion is actually a benefit, and some where you want a trimmer profile. I think your jacket works great either way. I think the kind of hangin-open moto look is an intentional look and not a problem, when that's how you want to wear it.

That's a beautiful jacket!

I go both ways. Not very helpful, I know...

I wear mine open. I wear it with everything, with dresses, classic black pants, skinnies!

Compared with the two pictures, i think the first one looks better. You looks more pretty with the first merlot jacket.

I wear mine open almost all the time so that you can see the layers underneath. Yours looks fine partially zipped too though - I tend not to wear them fully zipped up because I find they often pull a bit strangely (although that might just be my shoulders ...)

i wear mine open, it is short enough that it isn't boxy.

I wear mine partially zipped when I pair it with looser tops, to add a little structure, and open with fitted tops since I feel I don't totally surrender my shape. Yours looks great partially closed in the pics.

I know what you mean about how it looks trim partially zipped but I just wear mine open. I guess my eye is used to how it looks hanging a little wide.

Now that I am positive on keeping merlot jacket(99.9%) I am thinking how to style it.
I wear my bomber jacket open. Rarely ever zip it.
But I like the look of moto jacket partially zipped.
However it doesn't let me see what I am wearing underneath and appreciate the outfit and layering fully. Plus hangs little wide so personally looks unflattering to me.
T
I know there is no right or wrong answer.
But is there better of the two?
Open or partial/full zip up moto ??
