I read first and look second. I also write in a text editor when I write long posts, because I lost text one or two times and that's really frustrating!

I read the text and look at the photos. If there are lots of questions, I copy their text, delete portions of it and add my comments, so I don't have to keep moving back and forth identifying the outfit or remembering what the question was.

If there are more than 5 photos (such as a big shopping haul keep or return post), I tend to look at the pictures, then read the text and reply with my voting later (ie I save the post as one of my last one's before I sign off)

Kate, I do the same with writing up the post in the text editor, then pasting it to the forum

I read their intro paragraph(s), look at the pictures, and then read the more specific picture by picture details. If it's really long, I'll type up my response in a word document so that I can see the picture and what they say about it on half of the screen and write in the other half. This prevents me from continually scrolling up and down the page to see, read, and write.

Read first, look second. I am a bit literal at times. I find it difficult if the post is long and refers to many specific things. This requires a bit of back and forthing.

Honestly, if there is too much text, I likely don't read (or reply) and just skim the thumbnail pics.
For regular, shorter posts I skim the thumbnail shots, then read the text, and then open pics if I am going to reply.

Depends on how much text there is. If there is a lot of text I usually look at the pictures first. If there is minimal writing, then I read first.

I usually look at the photos first to see what gets my attention and why, that way I don't have any expectations in terms what needs to work or not.

After that I read the post, then check the photos again, this time paying closer attention to what the question is about.

How about you?
