What the conversation is making clear to me is that I also don't think the wallet needs to match within limits. I can easily imagine a bright color or simple pattern with all kinds of purses, but my case where I am imagining a dark brown with other neutrals is throwing me and I don't really get why.</p> <p>People clearly notice my wallet when I take it out to pay for something because people often comment on it. I've carried the same wallet for about 6 years (eek). It was a gift from my grandma, otherwise I'd never have purchased it (it's eel skin, sigh). I also like a wallet that is brightly colored so that I can easily spot it inside my handbags that have a dark lining. Other than that, I'm not too picky. I'm currently using a Kate Spade green wallet which I love because it is soft, roomy and since ordinarilly I can't wear green - this is a fun way to incorporate green into my wardrobe!<br /> I'm not a fan of a dark brown color for a wallet - for the reasons above - and also, it is just too conservative for me - so I'm not real good at giving you advice on that color of wallet.
