Sometimes regular bleach can yellow white garments--I know because it has happened to me. If it is a stubborn stain, I make a paste of the Oxiclean powder and a little water and apply directly to the stain, rubbing it in and letting it set about 30 minutes before washing. I use a cloth napkin or even dish towel in my lap when I eat to help prevent food stains. If it doesn't help, I put lemon juice on the stain; I follow roughly the same protocol, putting lemon juice on it every fifteen minutes or so (lemon takes longer to work than the oxygen bleach).
