I think the Carbona stain removers are brilliant. It's a line of removers, each targeted at very specific types of stains. Lots of removers don't work completely because they're 'generalists'.

If the Oxyclean doesn't work, do be careful if you try regular chlorine bleach. Sometimes regular bleach can yellow white garments--I know because it has happened to me. So if you are desperate to get a stain out and want to use chlorine bleach, I would definitely do a test patch first.

I buy my white jeans a size up from most other jeans to allow for dryer shrinkage. Then I can wash and dry after every wear. I treat spots with Shout when I take the jeans off, and then I launder on the steam (highest heat) setting.

Oxiclean, both pretreat spray and powder to make a soaking solution. If it is a stubborn stain, I make a paste of the Oxiclean powder and a little water and apply directly to the stain, rubbing it in and letting it set about 30 minutes before washing. I use a cloth napkin or even dish towel in my lap when I eat to help prevent food stains. White jeans get washed more often, usually after two wearings, than other colors.

I look for spots and pretreat with Shout or another spot treatment. Then I launder with my usual detergent and added Oxiclean. The Oxiclean makes all the difference, I think. Occasionally, if they're really soiled, I'll wash them a second time. I never tumble dry.

I am quite the "messy" type, and find it easier to wear white pants than a white shirt with long sleeves. Try one pair, and see how it goes!

I dry them in the sun. I pretreat with Zout, Ecover and/or oxiclean if it's a serious stain. Wash and then set outside for the day. It gets out 99% of stains (on all colors). My deck looks a bit like a laundry room in the height of summer.

Tiny spots between washes I dab with cool water. Before a wash I submerge the whole pants in an oxiclean solution for a couple of hours or overnight, then throw it in an all white wash -- I haven't needed to pretreat or scrub anything since oxiclean seems to get out anything if you just let it soak a long time.

I just pretreat like normal with a liquid detergent. If it gets really bad, I'll use oxiclean in the load. Real chlorine bleach is the last resort, but I try not to do that too often because I've always heard it weakens the fibers eventually.

To get stains out, I make a solution of some oxygen bleach and a little water and apply it to the stain every ten or fifteen minutes or so, to see if it is helping. If it doesn't help, I put lemon juice on the stain; I follow roughly the same protocol, putting lemon juice on it every fifteen minutes or so (lemon takes longer to work than the oxygen bleach). Between these two treatments, I have so far been able to get all stains out.

If you use lemon juice, be aware that the lemon juice can actually stain the garment too, so either wash the jeans right away once the stain is out or else put some enzyme stain product on to make sure that the lemon juice will come out when you wash.

I use a nappysan type product on mine. I spray on the mark or stain and then gently "scrub" the area with a toothbrush. I'm amazed at the results. So far so good:)

I have had the Paige Peg skinny white jeans (which I highly recommend, btw) for a few years, though I've stuck to wearing them in summer/early fall--Angie's given me a few ideas about wearing them year round (though I'm still going to abstain from wearing them in the salty/slushy conditions we have now). I was wondering how people kept their white jeans in good condition--I always seem to drop little things on them, like a bit of avocado or some stains on the back from where i sat. I use a bleach pen to take out the stains as best I can but the stains don't come out entirely.
