I highly recommend using a program like Jing from Tech Smith or Skitch (Mac only) for screenshots, they make screen capturing a lot easier, and you can choose whatever part of the screen you want. They are both freeware. Some of us were playing around with Burberry's "design a custom coat" feature earlier and wanted to share our final design with some of the other forum members. The PrintSrn button makes Windows save a complete image of your screen in an internal, temporary file, so that is why MaryK uses the Paint program to retrieve the picture and save it as a regular, permanent file. Apples use a three key command (you press and hold three keys simultaneously) to give you a crosshair icon so you can use your mouse to be more selective in what part of the screen you want to save and automatically saves the chosen section as a file on your desktop. Hold the Command, Shift, and 4 keys down simultaneously to get a gun sight icon on the screen. Drag the icon over the image you want to capture holding down your left mouse button. When you release the mouse button, you'll hear a click and the image will be saved to the desktop. If you want to change the format, open the image, and use File, Save As to select a different format like a JPEG. There's a "print screen" button on your keyboard. It probably says "PrntScr." Get the picture on the screen the way you want it, and push that button. It will store the screen in your computer's memory. 2. Open your Paint program (it should be in "accessories"). Paste the screen capture into Paint, either by hitting ctrl-V or choosing "Paste" from the Edit menu. 3. Go to "Save As" in the File menu and save the file as a JPEG. 4.
