Nice ideas!

Take a note book and just write down the outfit components. Easy.

I actually like closetcouture.com. You can upload your own clothes and play around making outfits out of them.

After loving this flickr site, I have considered crudely drawing my ideas. I am quite a visual person and I quite enjoy sketching anyway.

http://www.flickr.com/groups/w.....ings/pool/

For example I may have a base of a green dress at the centre and sketch around the item the things I have considered wearing i.e. pearls and leopard print heels or denim tunic and brown boots.

I save some on my favorites tool bar straight of websights like AT, jcrew or polyvore. I also cut out any outfit or shoes from mags like cosmo or whatever... that make me stop and go *wow* also from ads like Macy's or Nordies, Neiman Marcus etc. I clip them and have them in a scrap book and browse through them from time to time:).

Thanks! Some of the ideas are created in my head (no visual) and those are trixty. Polyvore is a good option, I think I'm just Polyvore challenged. Need to spend some time over there and figure it out better.

I have a little notebook that I started. I wrote down colors, my pants length and shoe height (so I know exactly what works without trying it on), wish list, a few failsafe outfit combinations. Maybe you could start a bulletin board, scrapbook at home. Or do an online photo album and then keep notes.

I second Khris- keep a file on your computer. when you see a look you like copy and paste it into the file-- if it's just one piece that gives you inspiration, copy and paste and then when you "title" it, title it with the idea you had (ie "try with blue cardi"

does that help?

I have a whole file of my outfits on the computer that are filed in individual folders based on the cenral component of the outfit-- like... red tunic, skinnies, brown dress, etc as well as a "looks I like" folder.

Don't know if that helps or not...

Polyvore might be your answer Sarah. I recently discovered they've added a "Clip" feature where you add a link to your toolbar. When you are on a site with an image, click on the link on your toolbar and it will save the image to your Polyvore collection. Unfortunately this will not work on sites with flash/non-static images like AT & ATF.

I have a full shopping cart at almost every online store that saves your cart LOL
I actually write down ideas in my journal. I rarely go back and look at them, but just the process of writing it down helps me to remember. You could also start a file on your computer (or phone maybe?). I know that I have a file of the pricepoints of my pieces (for reference on the blog), and also the outfits that get a 'killer' rating from Angie. I keep those in with my photos.

I don't know why it is, but I have a short memory when it comes to outfit ideas.
I look around online all day and come up with ideas based on stuff I see for new outfits.
But I'm having a hard time documenting what I cook up in my head, so I forget. I've tried by adding pieces to my wish list, but then I forget why they're there.
I'd love some tips or tricks on how you keep tabs on looks you want to try.
Thanks!
