I liked them a lot; the texture of the fabric is odd to get used to, but kinda fun - super-stretchy but heavy enough not to be jegging-clingy. The shine is subtle and the color was nice. I thought they were reasonably flattering on my figure and I could see the color working with a lot of things. I totally would have gotten them had the hem not been just a tad too short and liable to become more so when washed. Also, according to the official care tag they're supposed to be dry clean only, which seems a bit much for pants that would be worn like jeans. </p> <p>I can see a basic black or dark-jewel-tone color being very useful for the winter, so I'm going to keep my eye out for one with a longer inseam. I've seen some in traditional faux leather but also in that coated denim which is supposed to be a leather-ish look as well. Today at Nordstrom they had some NYDJ in colors in stretch coated denim. It's kinda shiny, and in a skinny cut it probably isn't the most flattering, at least for those of us on the chubbier end of things. But it's kinda fun, too, and seems like it would work well for a lot of those casual but pulled-together holiday events I end up getting invited to. What do you think? </p>
