I recently feel in love with and bought a pair of silky track pants myself . When I posted my picks to the forum the general concenous was heels were preferred ( although I still wore them scrunched with sandals when I want a more casual look) and tops with a semi tuck. I wear them with sweaters, blouses , linen t and structured toppers. I posted some pics but have no idea how to add them here . If you go back into my posts you can see them . I'm not sure if any of my outfits are your style but they may give you some ideas. Believe me once you nail done a look you like you will love wearing these pants!

I like that the top has a banded bottom, it somehow goes with the dressy track pants. Also, you look great in those dressy track pants! I own some, and love them, but they are a bit unflattering on me. I don't really care too much as I enjoy wearing the style, but you look so good - you've somehow managed to maintain your appearance of height in them. Because of that, I think you're fine with a flat, but heels would certainly help make this look a bit more intentional.

I like the top - for me the outfit is asking for a necklace with a little more interest to it, though. I like the idea of a longer, bigger necklace - but something is off for me.

I agree with annagybe about that particular top. I am not sure what would be better though? I think you are on the right path with a welted bottom top. I like that idea because the top needs something to anchor it and give it some structure.

Maybe the necklace is throwing me off? I can see that with the necklaces diamond shape you were trying to repeat the angular print theme of the pants and the diamond print of the top. It's silver color is fading into the ivory top. I wish it were bolder or darker.

Thirding the heel.
Also maybe a different top. That sweater looks too much like a sweatshirt, so I'm getting a mismatched sweatsuit vibe.

i agree with Dixie in that they need a higher heel to work - a bootie, a wedge sneaker etc - something a little funkier. The sweater is just fine with the pants- no problem there:) When I wear my pants with an elasticized cuff, I often pull up the bottoms slightly to create a more casual, relaxed feel. Now that being said, I'm not sure how that would work here, as your pants seem to have quite a lot of volume in the leg. Worth a try though. Similar in theory to pushing up cuffs of sweaters or blouses.

I do think they work for you! But I would like them more with some kind of heel, like a boot or high heel shoe. Even sandals. I don't like that much how the pants look with round flats.

1. I think the shoes and the pants would get blended, the print is really similar.
2. I don't think they're too short or too baggy, it looks like you have long legs so it doesn't matter.
3. I don't think is too much, I like it!

These are WAY out of my comfort zone. So I need help from the amazing Fabbers here!

In short, do these pants work on my body?? then specifically.....

Photo 1: Would I dare wear these together even with a lot of skin in between? (They are my newest, nicest dark shoes.)

Photos 2-3: Are these pants too short for me, too baggy?

Photos 2-3: Is the "diamond" pattern in the cream top too much with the pattern in the pant?

Any comments welcome. Thanks for your help.
