For a variety of reasons that are too boring to get into, for the past week or so I've been sleeping at Lovely Fiance's house and running home in the morning to get dressed. It definitely means I'm largely in FFBO mode, particularly given the 90-plus temps we've been having. And Suz described my chore-heavy weekend strategy lately: shorts and a top that sort of goes with the shorts!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to move in with LF within a month or so and get back to having more time to play in the closet!

It's the same for me right now, even on days when I don't have the weather as an excuse. I pretty much stopped taking time for any small finishing touches (jewelry, accessoires ...). I'm just throwing on clothes that I know work together.

It depends what I have planned. I am always neat and groomed, but if I am home for the day, I dress very casually. I work from home 80% of the time and tend to squeeze chores, cooking, etc. in between work stuff, so my outfits are practical and comfy on those days.

Ack, it's funny. I put together a whole summer capsule last year that made me very happy. But it was dresses and skirts, and I have a great desire/need to cover up more this summer. Also my neighborhood is different now. Older establishment people. Quieter. Less flash. No va voom. Although, interesting enough, my country punk fits in ok. Being an eccentric works.

You've described me lately...not really loving getting dressed, and it's very hot here. And I am realizing that I don't have a very good summer wardrobe. The stuff I bought last year I don't like anymore, and the stuff from the year before is also yuck. Summer is one of the hardest seasons for me shopping-wise. Sigh.

My go-tos lately have been a linen dress and a romper from Anthro, which as some have pointed out obviates having to really put together an outfit from components. I like these two items because I can wear them without a bra and not have it be too obvious or awful looking. Sorry if that's TMI!

Linen tunics for me too. They work at home and out and about. I try to find things to wear at home that won't embarrass me if I have to answer the door. I used to wear any old thing around the house but invariably found myself leaving the house without changing and then running into everyone I know!

If I'm venturing out into the sun and heat, I'm ultra-diligent about the sunscreen (SPF 50) and sometimes a hat. I've already had one skin cancer removed, so that was my wakeup call to be Diligent with a capital D! I have a good supply of light-colored cotton and linen tops, shorts, and pants to rely on. I try to refresh them as needed to keep my spirits up during our long hot summers. I've found I feel quite jaunty and mischievous when I wear one of my hats (usually a Panama).

I'm not sure how I would dress in 100% humidity! My hair would be a hopeless mess, that's for sure.

I always dress diligently for work but if I'm not going to leave the house it's usually a denim skirt and tee...always long uggs and leggings in Winter. Wearing sunscreen is something I do every day no matter the weather.

Relentlessly sunny? I've described our summers with those EXACT words. We're supposed to get over 100F this week. Yuck!

In summer I shower at night. It helps me get to sleep. In the morning I wash my face and start putting on sunscreen. I've started using these two. The one on the left for my face, and the other one I put on the back of my neck, chest, arms, legs, and hands, especially. My makeup used to have SPF, but at some point it stopped, and I didn't realize it. I've been very diligent since seeing that picture of the trucker who had such terrible sun damage. The other reason I shower at night is to wash off all the sunscreen before bed.

I bought several pairs of shorts and crops at Kohl's this spring. They're all Lee. They were fairly inexpensive and seem fine. I also like sleeveless tops. I bought a bunch of Eddie Bauer sleeveless boatneck tops. They were an Angie pick. They look kind of feminine and aren't lowcut. Add sandals or sneakers and a hat. If I'm going to be out for awhile, such as dog walking, I wear my Tilley hat, with a brim all the way around. That's my summer uniform.

When I went down to see my mother last week after her fall, in the morning it was foggy. GLORIOUSLY foggy!!!

It was 100% humidity this morning, according to my weather app. And it was sunny. It' will be in the 90's today, which won't be too bad if we can halve the humidity! I need to plant my new flowers, but I'm thinking up reasons to postpone it til tomorrow -- when the high will be a blissful 80!

As for clothes -- I rely on sleeveless tops and tunics in great prints, woven and knit. Prints hide sweat and create interest. I don't like shorts on me, so I'm wearing mostly crop pants (white, denim, black) and have several pairs of athleisure cropped pants that move from lounge to casual wear out. I have 4 pairs of these, and they dry quickly, which means I can avoid a laundry pile up. For some reason, I'm not wearing dresses and skirts much at the moment.

Very hot here. The comfort index was 115F much of yesterday. I always put on something first thing to get a cuppa from the kitchen as we have not put window coverings on our kitchen windows except plants and I don't own lounge clothes. I plan to spend today in the basement decluttering where it is cooler. I'm wearing light blue ankle pants and a navy tank top, gold loafers and gold earrings. If I need to cover up more, I'll toss on a light blue or navy linen cardigan.
I'm considering buying shorts for the first time in years but probably won't. What I need is a cool house dress for hot cleaning days.

I tend to depend on certain FFBO's and silhouettes once the extreme heat hits… especially on my very casual work-from-home days. I can get more creative with my outfits for evening and weekend activities such as meals out with friends or date nights with hubby. I do not enjoy dressing for summer days as much as I do for other seasons, but I try to make the best of it.

I am putting it on daily before my walk with my neighbor. For the walk I wear gear, and my visor, then I do Pilates at home.

It's hot here so it's dress weather. After my workout and shower it's more sunscreen. Grab a dress and sandals. Big hoop earrings. Minimal Make-up. Done.

Floppy Sun hat optional. It depends where I'm going for the day.

On hot days, my jewelry is my third piece. Or if I'm in a sundress, my second. And if I'm not leaving the house, well, today I'm wearing long jean shorts and a Laurel Birch Cat t-shirt.

Lol, you guys. I just wandered out for the last dog walk in sweats, winter socks, old lady slip ons, old puffy and beanie. Didn't put Lilypup on her string either. Pretty much look like a vagrant. It's now chilly after all that sun and too close to bedtime...

Ok, but fooey - I did have on sunscreen! Pure chemical block tho. I think maybe that's not good enough.
