Have you tried the brown one over the black dress? Try the dress with brown boots, a denim jacket and a knitted scarf or cowl, or layer a denim shirt over or under it. Try it with skinny jeans and booties or leggings. The vests I would try over a solid column of color. The gray over black, the brown over cream. That second link, the longer vest: I freaking love it. I'd rock that with skinnies, some bad ass boots, and a simple fitted sweater or slightly drapey knit top.
