When I am in this situation, I try to find a top that is big enough at the bottom that I can knot it at the side--then I get the form-fittedness that a tucked top would give, but it is not tucked. And you can choose how tight to tie the hem of the shirt, so that you don't feel uncomfortable.

I style mine similar to Jenn. I also bought cropped boxy sweaters from BR. I found petite sweaters in this style to be too cropped so I opted for regular size. The length is kind of the same as on Jenn’s photos.

I like mine with boxy or trapeze-style tops. Not the best pics, as I snapped these for personal reference, but my Eileen Fisher linen shell and Only Child Alta top both are basically effortless with the wide legs.

Thank you for starting this thread. I have several pair of wider elastic waist pants and like them best styled with short cropped tops, but I cannot wear the short tops . So far I have like semi tucking at the side best but am looking for solutions. I will be back to see what others say

Styling skinnies is so easy and we have been doing it for so long. I am finding narrow straights easy too. Flares are making me think. I have one pair of bootcut jeans that I am finding look good with sneakers, flats,, sandals and heels, but tops require more thinking. biggest problem are me my elastic waist wider leg non jeans. I do not want to tuck or even partial tuck. Suggestions welcome.
