I am a similar build too (5'6, 29 waist, 41 hips) and I suggest a dark wash boot cut or flare jean. My favorites are from Express the Eva cut. It is very flattering and sometimes you can get them discounted or find a coupon code. I would go with a medium rise dark wash jean with some fabric at the bottom to balance out the hips.

Hi Bigi,

I am a similar build (5'7, 27 waist, 38 hips) and I've had good luck with DKNY and New York & Company.

I currently have this pair of DKNY's for flats:

http://www.dkny.com/nshop/prod.....sWjeansALL

And I have this pair from NY&CO for heels (they look shorter in the picture than they really are; they are the perfect length for my 2' heels)

http://www.nyandcompany.com/ny.....u=09076369

Hope this helps!

Bumping this up for you, Bigi.

I'm curious as to what the ladies on the site have to say since I think I may have a similar build. I'm in the market for new jeans, also.

Good luck with your search!

Hi ladies, I'm so glad I found this site. I realize I've probably never dressed quite right for my shape and I would love some tips and advice. I need a new pair of jeans, or two. I'm an average slim hourglassy rectangle, 5' 8" tall, 38" (hips) and 30" (waist). I think I would like a pair or bootcut jeans, or possibly straight/slim if that can be recommended for my shape. Any tips what kind of jeans I should check out?

Also, I probably have to order them online, so if you have specific online stores to recommend I would love to know! I live in a small town in a small country, and there's just not enough to choose from in the stores around here. Mostly Levis jeans, and they all seem to be stonewashed...

I appreciate any help!
