Hi Eva,

I think they run fairly true to size. I tried on a 6 and I wear the same size in a Calvin Klein Jean . As for BR I can not say. I have not tried their pants for years. I do wear a size 8 BR pencil skirt if that
helps. That was the size of the skirt I just bought on sale..

In the Christopher Blue Jean I wear a “4”. I have not worn anything in a 4 since grade school.
I also wear a “4” in, dare I admit, I bought a pair…NYDJ jeans. I felt so old buying those. But that
was my only option at the last Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, for a dark wash jean that fit without rhinestones on the back pockets. They are a comfortable(stretch jean) but they are 14 ½ “ in the back vs. the 15”- J .Jill. Every ½” helps for me.

J. Jill is service oriented in a big way. You could call as ask for specific measurements.
This jean is about 3" below my belly button. I have a long torso -12" from the bellybutton to crotch .
What I really like about this cut is that they run higher in the back. That is what I find most difficult with lower rise jeans overall.
I hope this is helpful.

Thank you, Kellee! It is hard to find straight leg jeans for curvy figures. I haven't purchased from J. Jill. Is the fit true to to size? So a 4 for J. Jill is a same as a 4 for BR. Or do they cheat like Ann Taylor (a 4 is a 6 anywhere else)?

Hi Tarzy

No I did not try on the boot cut jeans.
I was just so shocked at the fact that the pants I ordered by mail(shale-cords)were so comfortable.
I was at the mall yesterday returning a few things and I stopped in the store. I thought I had a one hit wonder with these straight leg cords. So to find out that they had them in cement and a good dark blue jean was all I focused on.

I think the whole Authentic fit is a new line. I will try the boot cut on when the sale starts. I should have pics by then to post of my Holiday gifts(having mirror/picture taking problems now) and if I buy a pair I will definitely include them for you to see.

I do have a pair of Christopher Blue Jeans that are boot cut.
They are 8 1/4 in the front inseam and 141/4 in the back. They have a slight black wash(darker jean) and a slight ribbed texture like the material was scratched lengthwise for a lack of a better description.
I like them but if J.Jill has boot cut, I am interested. That extra 3/4 inch in the inseam (front and back)makes a difference.

Nothing in black yet. I really want a black jean that I can use with high boots. That search goes on…
Good to hear from you Tarzy!

I just looked online, and they seem to offer the same cut in a boot leg. Did you by any chance try those on too? (I prefer a boot cut.)

Hi Inge,
I have the light cords in shale ,which is a wonderful cool shade of a mid brown.
Yes, I have 2 cement grey "in the mail" ,plus I will get a few of the denim with the sale card.
It is really hard for me to find a jean in a decent shade of grey too.
I may have hit a double here. A good jean and in grey too!

Hi
I found them at J.Jill . I know the store is known for its draping clothes..Before I found YLF, I was a walking "boyfriend" sweater and pants manequin. These jeans show the curves ,without the goods. They pass the bending over test with flying colors.

They are a new cut called the -authentic fit slim- leg jean. Wow, they are so comfortable and I don't look like Aunt Milly.
The rise is 9.5 inches and the measurement at the back is 15 inches. I could sleep in these. There are few cords left on sale in stores 40% off sale price.
But the good news is that they are going forward with this new cut. It just became available in a dark denim as well as cememt and khaki .
They only had one size run(one of each size) when I was there yesterday. The manager said they were starting to ship next week.
They are having a sale/promotion Feb. 2-13 . There is a coupon you can pick up in the store for $25 off a purchase of $75 or more plus a $25 coupon attached for a friend. So if you are interested ,bring a curvy friend.
The jeans are $79(J.Jill card-5% off) -$25 = $50.05 + tax.
I hope these work for some of my curvy friends out there.
