I'm happy to report also that there was rain last night and the temperatures have cooled down for a few days to what I call "pleasant summer" temps. (ie around a daily range of 17 (62) -28/32 (82 F-89)  Sounds like what you are currently experiencing Fashiontern. As for duration of heat, it depends a bit on when you get the sea breeze in the afternoon.  Close to the ocean it can call down more than where I am, about 10km in. In "hot summer" nights can be more like 23. I really prefer nights to be under 20 and like it even better when they are as low as 12. In early Oct, I was travelling and my hotel room only went down to 17 and I found that too hot (that was before the recent hot weather, so I wasn't acclimatized). I never heat my bedroom all night, and only rarely in the evening. Technically it is still spring, but summer weather, whether my "hot" or "pleasant" can last from October to mid - April - though it won't necessarily. AJ. No slip. That would be a deal breaker for me in summer. In the summer, it often doesn’t go below 80 at night, and it’s in the 90s daily. Even though 80s is hotter than I want now, temps often dip into the 60s overnight, and a few nights in October were cooler than that, so it’s much better than summer. Another big difference is that days are shorter. It stays at the peak temp for about 2 hours in the afternoon now, whereas in the summer, the peak temp lasts for about six hours. What is it like there? Does it cool off at night? How long does your summertime last? You are so right that I’m looking forward to that time. It’s forecast to be unusually cold, and possibly snow.
