I have used the heated air brushes for years. I use ceramix for my bangs. I use Conair for the rest of my hair. I have never figure out how to blow dry my hair with a brush without my arms becoming tired. I don't blow dry my hair until it is almost dry.

I think the mixed reviews are a reflection of the different air brushes. I tried several until I found what I liked. The one for my bangs works for shorter hair but not long hair.

I also use a flat iron if I want that look (Chi). I have found that air brushes don't last that long. They need to be replaced sooner than I would like.

I have found for a truly straight look my hair needs both- I first straighten whilst drying with a good round brush, then use a straightening iron to completely straighten.
There are brush/heated iron combos. available now but after reading the mixed reviews I haven't tried.

I got a haircut that looks better with straight hair. I could never get a hang of blow drying my hair (I can't figure out how to separate the sections of varying lengths). I am trying to understand why the hot air brushes are inexpensive compared to the flat irons despite their purported convenience.

If you have a hot air styling tool, can you recommend it?
