Give it a go, Nancy! I've been doing shirt dress/tunic over trousers all summer, and loving it. It is a sleek look that juxtaposes well with a curly mop.

Nancy, I say make this wildcard an experiment. It passes all the tests so far. Put it through its paces and take it from there.

There could be more give right at the top of the seam. I feel like I can live with it. I'll try it on again to make sure.

I hate tight armholes. It sounds like you're okay with that?

Hi. Here are a few pics to address the question of whether the Madewell piece passes the sitting test. I'm very busty, for those of you who don't know me. It appears to be fine, though take a look!

One thing, though: there is plenty of fabric in the back, so the back and chest don't have any tightness at all. I moved my arms back and forth to check. Honestly.

But. The armhole is cut very high, so there is a slight bit of tension there. However, I think I can easily live with it. It doesn't look like something that would ease up even if I were to lose weight, for example. It's just a structural thing.

But I'll listen carefully to any advice! Tell me if there's anything my eyes somehow missed. Thanks in advance.
