Oh, I finally saw this thread! Yes, I posted here about my experiences.

I posted off-thread with the names of the tailors I used. But, to summarize without specific names, I think bespoke HK tailoring is a great option if he's looking for a classically cut men's business suit. I wouldn't advise deviating out of that (eg, trying for a trendier cut) unless he's very firm and knowledgeable.

Yes! I think classic mens suits are worth the custom tailoring experience in HK. If he is a fashion boy - I'd probably hesitate.

Thanks Angie, I have already looked at them :-)
Do you think it is a good idea to make a couple of suits for my son there? I have no idea what is the price point and he is there on his own and no experience with these things...must be easier to get it right with men suits, no?

Sveta, Charmian had a GREAT post on her experience shopping for tailor made in Hong Kong a while ago. I never did get to respond to that thread, I don't think, but it stuck in my head. It isn't on men's stuff but she may have ideas.

My son has an exchange term in Hong Kong now and I would like him to try and make a couple of custom suits there. He is very tall and it is really a pain to find ready made suits for him. He is also in a business career so it is important for him to be well dressed when he graduates in a year time.
Does anybody have any experience and recommendations for Hong Kong tailors for man suits? I would really appreciate any help here!
Thanks!
