Thank you Angie - then it definitely seals the deal. I am thrilled to be a peplum twin with you! :-)
Beth Ann, this is an interesting observation. Maybe it is because my wildcards are still on the tame side and just fit well into my wardrobe menagerie?

OK -- very late to your thread, but I'm so glad you're keeping this! I like the looser peplum fit -- it seems modern and has a touch of insouciance, without the bombshell. The stripe keeps it casual. I have one peplum that I love, in a more traditional fit, but it is black, with an embossed floral pattern. Harder to wear to in my casual life!

On another note, one of the things I love best about your style is your ability to dress cohesively and consistency without losing the fun of the occasional wildcard. It keeps your dressing lively and creative.

Sorry, I did not get to reply before - the weekend was extremely busy for me!
The side view is the only one which bothers me though. On the other hand I can see that there is too much fabric on the back which is pooling. I think I will try to take it in the back a bit - not to make the top more fitted but to remove that excess of the fabric.
The waist of the top is exactly where natural waist is. I have long waist and long hip so even if this is Tall size it still fits a bit shorter on me than on Angie. On the other hand I read in another post that the waist on the peplum top should be at or higher than the natural waist but not lower so it seems to be OK for the style. Maybe my eye has to adjust?

Here is the thing: "too short" is my eternal fear because things are usually are too short for me and I am afraid of the look if I have grown out of my clothes. So of course in a case like this I have a hard time to let this fear go and assess the fit without a "poison eye".

With the jacket on top it looks like any other top as the peplum part is hidden.

Angie, thank you so much for posting your ensemble with this top - I am sure it looked stunning. And I am so touched you created this collection just for me. Love you! So you don't think like some others that it is a bit too short on me?

I am leaning towards keeping it after all. I love the quality and it has a fun vibe. Under jackets it looks pretty much like a regular top and as I do not have any striped tops now it may be a nice one. It is actually good for layering: the sleeves are short so they do not interfere with scrunching and they are fitted enough so they do not ride up when you put the jacket on.

Thank you so much for working on this together with me - it was immensely helpful for me - and hopefully helpful for somebody else too.
Watch out for WIW with this wildhorse when the mercury dips a bit below 30C.

My favorites are 2, 4, 7 and 8. I kind of think you might get your jeans hemmed? I like rolled and cuffed jeans especially on tall people and/or long legs but yours are cuffed even worn long and I think it diffuses the boldness of your look.
I love everything about the red skirt, the length, the color, the shape.. and I think it looks great with the peplum!

Well, I still think it looks short. And I know it's supposed to be short, that's not what I mean, I think it needs to be an inch or two longer on YOUR body.

that being said... I do really like it with the red skirt, and dark bottoms. I think the proportion I'm noticing doesn't show so much with those. I also think it's great with the polkadotted skirt. So I think it could find a place in your closet as a fun wildcard.

Any chance of seeing it with a jacket on top, a la Angie?

I like it best with the long white bottoms, with 2 slightly edging out 7. I can't articulate why, but the proportions and and the colors work best to my eye, as well as seeming to fit in with your style best. A close third would be 8....the red skirt is unexpected, fun, and flattering. My least favorite would be the white shorts.

I think it would be a fun addition to your closet, and a way to play outside the style box for you. I wish the waist were a bit longer...this is most visible from the side. Front-on looks fine to me.

Well this is so interesting! I like it best in the following outfits:

With white bottoms, at any length - fantastic. Those outfits look crisp, fresh, summery.

The flared jeans - now that is outfit perfection. It's the flare on the peplum and the flare on the jeans that just look perfect together.

The Gap Res Slim - you rock this look, girlfriend! I have those same pants and now I want the peplum top too.

The red skirt outfit - divine! I have a similar red skirt. Please refer to my note above. I'm starting my car and pointing it towards the nearest Gap store.

Those are my favorite combinations. The rest look good but those are my favorites. Angie's comment on your other post made me go back and take a second look. It is supposed to be a shorter peplum top. It hits you at the same spot as it does in Gap's pic - about top to mid side pocket. In Angie's outfit pic, it hits her a little lower - about the bottom of the side pocket. Of course, this could just be the style of pant.

So what is your decision? Keep or return?

Much better! What a difference the styling makes.
My favorites here are all the white & cream pants/shorts combinations, both pairs of dark jeans, the pencil skirt (what a knockout look!), and the track pants.
Definitely a keeper, in my book.

I love the top with white and cream skinnies, the flared jeans, culottes and the red skirt. It's simple fabulous on you! How're you feeling about it now?

I LOVE this top for you too Sveta!
Looks great with everything, but my least favourite is with the white shorts.

Basically I love it! The top here is maybe a tiny bit short on you (didn't read the other thread so I don't know if anyone else thought so) but looks so stunning especially with dark bottoms and skirts. I wonder what you think Sveta?
