I try to leave a bit of room to bring home shopping, though.<br /> Maneera, Cynthia and Joy, I wasn't going to mention the shoes. My friend had a family holiday at this same beach location, two weeks before us, and told me she'd only packed one pair of shoes. Do you think I could do the same? No! Packed running shoes, sandals and my "dress crocs" and only wore the crocs. I better find a pic of them, so you don't think I'm too crazy.<br /> ETA pic of crocs that don't look like crocs. Sun protection is serious. In my area, skin cancer treatment is a growth industry. It's Summer, so sun protection is a serious business, but this was overkill.<br /> The battered straw coloured hat lives in the car, and I left the larger green hat there in preparation. I packed the light 'gear' hat to wear in the water, then threw in the smallest hat forgetting I had the other two in the car.<br /> Anyway, I wore all of them at least for a short stint.</p> <p>The funny part of the story is that on the way home I was laughing at my pile of hats and commented to my husband that I didn't mean to pack *four* hats. His reply: "I packed four hats" and Master 11, "I packed four hats, too"</p> <p>Anyone else overpack? Or does your family think it entirely reasonable? </p>
