I vote buy. A few years ago I skipped buying another pair of my favorite cut of Luckys, and they dropped the style the next time I checked :(.

Still bummed about that one!

buy.
(ps - I have had pants do that as well, and I agree with Elizabeth P - you can be pleased that you were able to "wear them out").

Yes - I would purchase again. Well fitting pants in a classic style can be hard to come by. Usually when things like this happen to me, the option to buy a new pair is not there. I buy something similar, but often feel that it is not as good as the original.

I guess I should buy them again!
As for laundering, I wash in cold and hang to dry. But I do have a top loader with an agitator. I guess other items that have worn out in my opinion have been heavily pilled rather than having holes in them.

That's unfortunate, but I agree that it sounds like you got heavy wear out of them and they're probably worth buying again.

How do you have them laundered? Maybe try something gentler if possible. I find that these days I pretty much have to baby everything I wash.

I would definitely buy again. I think for two years of heavy wear it's a good price.

I would also buy again. This is not an uncommon way for knits to wear out, in places that have stress on the seam. If it had happened in a month I'd say differently, but these sound like they don't owe you anything.

Actually, you should be proud of wearing them out!

If I were you, I'd also leave a review and/or get in touch with Vince Camuto's customer service about it. At the very least they should be aware of this issue... I've never owned anything by this brand but I have the impression that this sort of quality issue should not happen to them.

Thanks for the wisdom, ladies. You're right, I did wear them to death!
I will look into the seam to see if they can be repaired. If not (and maybe if so), I will get another pair or two to keep on hand. Keeping in mind the cost per wear is a good way to look at it.

Yes, buy again. You loved them, and you wore them to death. And they might even be repairable.

I agree with Approprio - I would try to have them repaired and anyway buy another pair in a different color. After all if you have been wearing them so much it means that these are your "perfect" pants! You are lucky that the model is still available.

If you will miss them being in your closet, and will not worry about holes every second you have them on, then I would definitely purchase again. It sounds like they were a real work staple. Just check before wearing and you should be fine.

Once a week for eighteen months - I make that about a dollar per wear. Is that a reasonable return for you?

If it's just a loose seam and no damage to the fabric, it might be possible to repair them with seam binding. You could get a couple more seasons out of them, and also buy another pair in a different colour.

I bought these pants in black and grey in Fall 2015. I have plenty of pants/skirts, but they have been favorites so probably worn once a week during fall, winter, and spring so 6 seasons I guess. I recently discovered to my embarrassment that they have developed small holes down the seam on the butt of the pants. Many small holes, not that noticeable I guess since I've been wearing them and not noticed, but I'm now wondering whether colored underwear may have been showing through!
I don't often have pants wear out. Usually I get rid of things because they no longer fit. So I'm not sure what to do. I really enjoy wearing the pants. The length and weight are perfect. The fit is great with a nip in the waist done for free at Nordstrom, but I don't know if they are worth repurchasing. What do you think?
