In that case, I would spray protect suede and not worry much. I personally like suede, and have a couple of boots made of it, so I could be biased. But as long as I don;t wear them when there is a downpour outside they are just fine. I'm looking for something versatile, meaning not too high or too low...not too embellished or style specific (western, rugged, etc)...and not too wide because I hate gaping and am not a big fan of slouching. I've looked a lot online, and I've bought a couple of styles only to return immediately because I realized I was settling. I'm definitely open to suggestions, especially from the slim calf club. </p>
