JamC, I like your suggestion of navy options...I have a few navy tops with longer sleeves that could work too, although not today as we're back in a hazy, hot, humid weather pattern (p.s. are you the same JamC that was at our small Boston meetup in January 2.5 years ago?) Suz good comment about looking better with a wider belt which would probably be uncomfortable as you suggested Thanks Shevia, and you are right that if I wore a belt I'd have to anchor it down somehow since there are no belt loops. Thanks Joy! Good idea to try it with a black jacket to see how that will work. I'd be ok if it was only for hot summer but I think it could easily be more versatile than that. I have worn it with a white short sleeve tee, a navy short sleeve tee, and a navy short sleeve button up shirt from Uniqlo. It is very comfortable. It seems just a little big around the waist and in the side seams, but maybe I'm being uber-picky. If it came in numbered sizes I could probably just go down one size, but it comes in S,M,L so there is more of a difference between the sizes. I got it in a regular size but the web site only had it in plus sizes, hence the find.  It's a summer weight but I could see wearing it in fall with booties and a moto jacket or something like that.  It's been so long since I bought a skirt (several years) that I'm quite unsure about whether the shape is flattering. I've tried it with three black tops, each one with and without a knit belt. The belt has the visual effect of lengthening my short waisted-ness just a little, a trick I learned from Jean Wang at extrapetite.com.  The skirt is just a hair too big, and longer on me than the model, but the next size down was too snug. If I keep it I will remove the pockets (I don't need any extra fabric at my upper thigh) and probably slim the sides just a little.  What do you think? Yay/nay? Which top? Belt/nobelt?  Too long? What other styling ideas might you suggest? Any and all comments and suggestions most welcome!  1,2 with black sleeveless blouse with crochet knit back and two pocket flaps on the front 3,4,5 with sleeveless Loft mixed media tank 5,6,7 with short sleeved Macys tee with satin trim
