However, I've gotten some things I love there - tissue thin tunic tees, a top with ribbon embroidery, silky baggy pants, and some black ankle pants. And, actually, a 4-piece tweedy suit -- that's probably my best find ever. Here, too, the store is extremely crowded (with clothes AND customers) and quite disorganized. I've been in about half a dozen times, tried on many items, and only ever bought one--a blue and white stripe cotton blouse which I love and wear a LOT. It's soft and, most amazing, its sleeves are plenty long for my long arms. But usually I try on things which are cute and on-trend, but the sizing is way off or the quality is poor. A stroll through the store CAN be a useful way to quickly check out the latest trends. The music is obnoxious and loud. I thought maybe I was just old. I guess I feel a bit lucky--all the plus sized stuff is clustered into a corner of the store, near the accessories and the fitting rooms. I am glad I don't have to wander through the behemoth that is that store for stuff. I think they just sell the stuff and move on. I would still keep checking the website, though. You never know. And Lisap, yes, the store is horribly disorganized IMO too. I generally don't go in unless I'm trying to leave no retail stone unturned in my search for a specific item. I do have a leather skirt from H&M that is good quality that was only $99, but that's all I have from there. I bought that online. I did find out from talking to H&M customer service that the nicer items are generally sold online only and not sent to most of the stores. The target market for the stores is mostly people who want cheaper stuff. I think the exception is one of the H&Ms in Chicago, which has some higher-end stuff. Zara, H&M, Pull&Bear, Bershka, etc., are all about fast fashion, they're cheap but not of a lot of quality.  I think my H&M clothes are decent. But yes, it is pretty much about luck every time I go there, you have to keep an eye and see if the item you were looking for is on rack again. They don't appear to restock, but things may randomly come back. I love the convenience of ordering online from them, but it's not at Nordstrom level of customer service and ease of ordering.  rabbit on "H&M" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/hm#post-1357044 Wed, 17 Sep 2014 00:37:44 +0000 rabbit 1357044@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I've seen things out in the store, and then they disappear for awhile, and then come back later on the clearance racks, but it really is luck of the draw each time.  Like Mo sometimes nothing remotely appeals, and then sometimes I'll find exactly what I want for 5-10$ on the clearance rack.   Also their turnover in new items is very fast, so pretty much every week the store has different goods.   Like Forever 21, I don't worry about the forest of stuff I'm not into when I shop, I'm just browsing for that one tree that catches my fancy and checks my boxes.   Quality is quite hit or miss, but sometimes it hits --- there was a cotton zip up cardigan I got there maybe 15 years ago that I still wear in the studio.  It's so worn it has faded and has lost paint on the zipper, but it's never pilled or snagged or shrunk noticeably. But - the pieces always look so good on-line , in editorials and blogs etc, so I've always kept  it in the back of my mind to revisit .   A huge one opened in Winnipeg this week, and after letting the initial madness down, I went in yesterday.  Ugh.  Nothing steamed or well displayed, and racks of really uninspired stuff.  I don't get it.  I tried two jackets on that were quite cute - although a little  seasonally confused in my mind - but the sizing is also so off I couldn't figure out what was going on.  I tried them on right in the middle of the store, then hung them back up and left.  Both size 8's and too small on me (I usually wear a 4 ). The fabric wasn't nice enough to warrant buying either - even at the bargain price of $59.95  .  Major line-ups at cash.  What is the attraction?  Nothing looked particularly new or innovative or well-made. The pants you have pictured above are really cool - did not see them though.
