Awesome find - how could you have not known about this earlier??? LOL! My husband has various collections hiding downstairs in our basement (mostly electronic) and don't even get me started on his collected of old computers (like the ones that run on DOS and not Windows). I don't know what he intends to do with it (especially if we have to move!).

My mother-in-law has an awesome collection of scarves, many of them designer, and a few years ago she let me pick out one. It was a beautiful pale yellow Mossimo cashmere scarf that I sadly lost. I keep hoping that she will extend the offer again...

Burberry does have some other patterns/colors. I have one (bought at the Burberry store years ago) that is not the traditional camel/red/black but a navy/red/white one (matched with my navy pea coat which was discarded years ago).

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen that kind of collegiate-style scarf before, but I imagine it's quite striking.

Shiny, that's great that your DH already had all those amazing scarves. What score! And all of his nicknames for you are adorable.

My Bf also likes to give me monkey related nicknames, especially since I am very fond of bananas and eat a lot of them. One of them is 'Coco' inspired by a famous female gorilla he used to watch on TV.

Kristin - it's black, cobalt blue, and white - striped (vertically), with an emblem logo sewn on. He tells me this is what is called a "collegiate" style scarf. He has several from various colleges.

Nicole - hee hee.... yeah, he has all kinds of funny pet names for me. He creates a new one every day... "cuddle kittens" "snuggly puppy" Friday I was his "woman of the year" ....and Saturday he was calling me his "little witchiepoo"...

But "monkey" is his all-time favorite, and it's the one I HATE with a passion.... he used to call me all kinds of monkey names "cuddle monkey" "snuggly monkey" etc, yes probably "monkey butt".... so awhile back we made a deal, he's only allowed to call me "monkey" one time per day!

(Yes, we're THAT obnoxious couple

Aw cool, Shiny.

Your husband is very likeable. I noticed he tried to tease me that I am a true R dropper (I said Summaville in his presence), but he quickly walked out the door before I could give him a taste of his own medicine.

Didn't I hear one of you call the other one a monkeybutt or something??

How cool!

What colors are the Yale scarf -- Yale blue and white? Or is it a plaid? The only Yale scarves I've ever had always had writing and a bulldog on them. I'm so curious to know what it looks like.

Last night I was telling my DH that while we are in Iceland I want to check out warm, wool scarves to add to my budding scarf collection. I have a nice selection of pretty scarves now, but few of them are warm enough for winter.

My DH then tells me "Didn't I mention that I collected thrift and vintage scarves for years?" Well.... yes, he'd mentioned that... but I've only seen about 4 or 5 in rotation since we met.

Next thing I know, he brings out a rubbermaid box ... filled with gorgeous wool scarves!!!

An array of collegiate scarves from various ivy leagues... and tartans and plaids in every combo imaginable - charcoal grey, greens, blues, black and cream, reds... and even one that looks like a Burberry!!

I am not sure it's a "real" Burberry - the colors seem different than what is sold in the stores today - but the wool is high quality. He's not sure either. He thinks its very old. Anyone know if Burberry pattern used to be different? Very curious!

Meanwhile, the colors in the Yale scarf - which is super heavy and ultra warm - matches my new Jcrew coat to perfection. :-)

I chose about 10 and they are airing out now to get the mothball smell out of them!
