I would like to do embroidery over a pattern on a garment...sort of Johnny Was style. I no longer have the figure for most historical women’s clothes with the tiny defined waist or the desire to wear only frocks. But in college I mined the drama department’s closet for a few items. I especially loved a real beaver coat that was warm and flattering. The drama department was inactive then but everything back in better condition than I found it.
If it is your style and will work with your lifestyle, go for it.

Here is my Fashion Era Challenge Dickensian outfit. Pair of sneakers and Lilypup and I were good for a walk around the ‘hood, lol I have a few skirts that give this sort of nod to the era, although this is my only actual hoop skirt.

I didn’t realise there was a term for this, but I do like sartorial touches from historical eras!

Recently found history boundary as a style and sounds so fun. My lifestyle cant do it all the time but doing it at church or when i feel fancy would be fun! I have a sewing machine and have started making stuff i love as opposed to the fast fashion industry. I usually dont find anything i like out there anyway.
Any advice or comments if you do this or would like to!?
