AK, a regular belt always leaves a gap at the back no matter how tight I make it. But, since this one is elastic, it doesn't. And to second what Ummlila said, there's no extra bulk when you want to just wear your shirt over it. Regular belts always give me a faux-tuck look even when I don't want it.

IK, it's a stretchy belt with lots of adjustment points, like of like toddler/kid pants that have that elastic inside the waistband. Viva recommended it recently.

You don't need to tuck in -- that's the trick. A lot of times I need a belt but do not wear one if it was creating a "spare tire" effect under a sweater or shirt. I was wearing a thin t shirt today, untucked, and with the hipsi belt did not see any bulge underneath. So the buckles are presentable but to get full function you don't need to see them.

And I second Pastrygirl about the hip bones thing. I don't like when belts press on them either.

Now if I could just find a solution for the kind of skinny pants that zip on the side and have just a little roll of very pinchy fabric at the top instead of a waistband!

I'm curious about htis. i wanted but never ordered the Invisibelt. All the Hipsi pictures show it with shirts tucked in, which is no different from a regular belt. What is the trick?

Oh, I am SO excited that it's working for you all! I know what you mean, Pastrygirl. The Hipsi is super comfortable for me, too.

I got mine today, too! My jeans today slide down a little bit, and so far the Hipsi has been great. Tomorrow I'll try it with my jeans that droop/slide down a lot. I hope this works!!

I really love that it doesn't dig into my hip bones. I don't usually wear belts, but I've been buying slightly larger sizes over the past few months and have needed a belt. The belts all hurt my bones! I don't even feel the Hipsi.

Looks great, Ummlila! I ordered one also but won't get it for a while because I had it sent to the border only -- I will need to go pick it up.

I took Viva's suggestion and ordered a Hipsi. My pants, and jeans in particular, are always sliding down (wide waist, narrow hip). If I go too small they look tight elsewhere.

I just received mine. Ordered on Monday, free shipped from Kirkland, WA. I'm very pleased so far. The belt is very low profile so it can be worn under other garments without looking bulky. The strap is just nylon elastic but the buckle is nice.

Here is a picture with it showing, and not showing. Might have been better to do it with lighter clothes, but this is what I had on today.
