I was just donning my trademark red winter coat when some woman accosted me in the middle of the room. Judging by her voice and manner she was well into her 4th or 5th drink of the evening. :)<br /> "Excuse me, but I just had to stop you and say you look stunning! Your clothes all work together! Does your guide dog pick them out for you?"<br /> My friend Lauren sailed in with some well-timed social grace while I prevented myself from laughing out loud right in her face. I pulled it together long enough to inform her that dogs are, in fact, colourblind, but found myself on the verge of hysterics again when she went on to talk about her time spent on the staff of Canada's national blindness advocacy organization. A hasty exit seemed the best way to keep my brain from melting or my amusement from showing, so I thanked her, took my leave and then howled with my friends all the way to the karaoke place. :)<br /> I mean, I know Reva's in the room with me when I read YLF, but I really don't think she's absorbed *that* much. :p<br /> The take home message is this: the benefits of good style can also include good laughs! Even if they're at someone else's expense. :p</p> <p>P.S. Based on the input from my friends, the exchange was made even better by the fact that this woman could have benefited from Angie's posts on body type guidelines. </p>
