They are perfect for you and totally drool worthy for me. It’s a good thing those VB lace pants had an 11” rise, which is way too high, or I would have been in trouble!! If you look at the Clairene in the future you should definitely try the XS and look for the shark or small collars like the leather sleeve. I think they would make you happiest with the sleekest style. This is a perennial style so if not now I’m sure you will find something later snd knowing your amazing stalking skills I forsee a new price low!!</p> <p>Unfrumped - elleblog reviewed the Clairene and there are many photos with substantial knits underneath. Also rent the runway has lots of photos and reviews with all different under layers which helped me no end with sizing. I you want heavier layers take your usual size. For Tanya who prefers a more fitted and less oversized look she would probably prefer a size down. I can get a chunky knit to layer. The arms are deliberately narrower and not low set to keep structure and flattery despite the body volume IMHO.</p> <p>ETA : sileena looks almost identical from the photos. Not sure exactly what my size would be. In a lovely blue and similar cashmere --not sure of exact blend. It and other colors are available on Theory site and others. Also a lot on Poshmark. It is similar to Clairene but not sure of what exactly is different about cut, fit, pockets.&nbsp; Would be great if could see some of these in a store.&nbsp;<br />Not sure I need more outerwear, but I did note that this type of jacket, roomy/shorter but fitted properly,&nbsp; may be better for me than an oversized blazer--I have had trouble getting that type of item to look right. The main point for me in this type of garment would be for it to fit okay over a thicker sweater--hence just roomy enough in armholes and sleeves without being overwhelming. There are a number of Clairene’s so compare prices. The theory Weston the gray plaid was $208 from theory. The shawl collar was from theory also $198. Prices keep changing. Also lots of colors all at different price points. Bloomingdales has them. The Theory Clairene wool/cashmere jackets are on sale. I bought 3 - each was saled under $200. I have put them into finds, but not necessarily at the lowest price point because they would not take from some vendors including theory and theory outlet. I know a lot of people are doing WFH and zoom calls and there has been chat on how to dress up appropriately esp in light of warmth. This is more a blazer/coat or swacket. Lot of different colors. Narrow through the arms but basically a swing coat through the body. The collar on the weston will shift and was a little unstructured for me but I loved the plaid problem solved with safety pins from the inside, sewers could simple add a tack. Structure achieved. Materials are quality and beautifully made.&nbsp;&nbsp;Because they are felted wool they do not feel inappropriately structured and are very comfortable for me at home as a third piece. Arms are plenty narrow enough to wear a coat over if you are going out. In the spring and fall they would work as a coat with appropriate layers.&nbsp; I just thought these were great pieces at an incredilble price point that might answer a need where a cardigan or shawl is not formal or structured enough but would look great from casual to dressed when the pandemic is over. For me it's been all about staying warm and I found these great additions.&nbsp; Take the smaller of your sizes and if you want less volume through the body you might want to size down.&nbsp; </p>
