I haven't done it in a while, but I used to go to a dance workshop there. We would rent out several officer's row and NCO quarters houses and hold our classes in the fort buildings/chapel, then have our big dances at the county fairgrounds. So fun. We visited Fort Worden, a state park that used to be an army base. The bunkers are full of dark tunnels that you can still wander through, and there are some actual sandy beaches, a rarity (most Puget sound beaches tend to be rocky.) We hit the beach at the warmest, driest part of the day, which was lucky; you can see how high the winds are! </p>
