Especially like the part where you rolled out of bed,<br />threw on some clothes and then you're on-the-go.&nbsp; </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/high-happiness-factor-analysis-longish#post-1204876 Tue, 25 Mar 2014 18:19:21 +0000 MuseumGal 1204876@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>This is a very simple, not particularly fashion forward outfit that had an extremely high happiness factor, so I thought I'd analyze why it was such a success (for me).</p> <p>Basically I'm wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans, a purple knit jumper/pullover, a silk scarf and a tweed jacket, paired with my new shooties and a statement-y necklace.</p> <p>First of all the pieces fit well and are extremely comfortable physically.&nbsp; No need to pull or tug at my clothing during the day, they stay where they are supposed to.&nbsp; While nothing will make me look tall and thin, these pieces do a good job making the most of what I've got.&nbsp; Plus the colors are good for me - they are bright, yet somehow I don't stand out in them.&nbsp; Secondly, except for the new shoes, all the pieces have been in my wardrobe for quite some time (the jacket is about 10 years old, I think), and feel like old friends.&nbsp; Third, the necklace was a gift from a good friend, and I love that she saw this piece at an estate sale, thought that it would be perfect for me, bought it, and then kept it for months until my birthday.</p> <p>And then there's my "East Meets Wild Wild West" aspirational style statement, and this getup ticks most of my boxes without being costume-y or over the top.&nbsp; The wild west is the jeans and rawhide booties.&nbsp; The east is the necklace and silk scarf (made from an old sari).&nbsp; The second wild is meant to denote a sort of 19th century fantasy feel, and the tweed jacket hits that note.&nbsp; </p> <p>Maybe the best thing about this outfit is that it came together with no real thought or struggle.&nbsp; I had an early morning dental appointment, and I rolled out of bed, pulled on some weather appropriate things, and was out the door before I had a chance to analyze.&nbsp; Probably I need to do that more often, because, as you can see, I over-analyze things to DEATH.</p> <p>Well if you made it through all that, thanks for reading!&nbsp; I love having a place where I can write interminably about a simple outfit and know that at least someone will appreciate it! </p>
