She was so easy to spot -so very stylish, and ever so kind in person. </p> <p>We had a good gab at LPQ, and then spent the afternoon in the Groeninge Museum with the remarkable paintings by Flemish artists from 500 years ago. The incredible detail of the paintings allowed for some understanding of the fabrics -velvet, fur, wool, silk, lace - and we mused about the work that went into the construction of the garments, what dyes would be available to provide colour, etc. </p> <p>I am on the train back to Amsterdam for two more days of adventuring, but today will be well remembered.
