Perfect color (a warm brownish olive), size (oversized but not enormous), shape (no belt, single-breasted, long, with long-enough sleeves), and price (from the Uniqlo U line). I don't order online from COS anyway due to duty tax. I tried it in store. As common with the flowing or oversized style, I sized down and made sure it fits me in the shoulder/chest area. The fabric is soft and although it is voluminous dress, it collapses around a body. I'm 5'4 with bigger bust and the same apple tendencies. I prefer to hide my midsection and this works.<br />The shell is indeed cut a but too low, especially because I'm short in the torso. That been said, I have questions both about the shell and the dress. These both look glamorous, artsy and edgy to me- but how do they feel IRL-cannot wait to see them on You. The shell looks like it has too deep of a&nbsp; Vneck on front (wouldn't it show a bra?) and the dress lacks any structure on the body -so I would fear making me a big&nbsp; bubble (but I am tallish busty hourglass with some apple tendencies-so certainly not the same shape with you). I bought summer dresses and for the first time in decades I bought more dresses than summer pants. I bought my first summer maxi dress in 2021.&nbsp;<div>#1. After long search, I found replacement pair of cream jeans on Poshmark.&nbsp;</div><div>#2. I bought navy loafers - a navy pair of flats was on my list for a few years. Didn’t expect it to be loafers, I love the style but it is not bunion friendly. But these ones are so soft!<br />#3. I’m replacing my winter boots due to injury. These boots fit, the leather is soft but I still have to wait to test them. The weather has been mild in December.&nbsp;</div><div>#4. I don’t even remember how long a black dressy shell has been on my shopping list. I’m happy with this one - fits well under blazer and looks good on its own. Does not require alterations - a big bonus.&nbsp;</div><div>#5. I go back and forth on the special occasion dressing. I don’t have a need for it, might have the most one event a season. But I wanted a black dress that would be waiting in the wings just in case, however it was kind of a unicorn dress because of my requirements - not expensive, dressy enough, not trendy and the cut would allow some weight fluctuations.
