My bag is black w black hardware for a reason and I have plain black boots. But I bought this fabulous VB Kennedy blazer many years ago. You can’t tell but it’s sateen so has a lustrous sheen and the button in front and several on the back sleeve are gold. Then I got the Frankie b-low the belt and the TB belts w gold hardware. Then although I do not usually wear tee shirts I just had to have the kenobi tee with its antique gold lettering. So all of a sudden I’ve got a black &amp; gold capsule going. Hence the quest for boots w gold hardware. Plus my schnauzer necklace is gold. So major fun. So they feel streamlined. The shaft is high. Best with cropped pants or leggings but will work fine under full length. But the leather is thin like the pikolinos. Definitely not an outdoor hiking shoes. I’d choose my Ariat heritage lacers over these and I would really hike in those either. Although both boots have enough ankle support for that. But they are fitted. Nero Giardini is a brand stocked by my favourite local shoe boutique, the owner does an annual trip to Milan to source her products. I have two boots by this label and they are complete workhorses. The black boots were bought in 2021, the white in 2019, they still have lots of wear in them. Glad your patience finally paid off. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/hewi-black-boots-with-gold-hardware-found#post-2337401 Sat, 02 Sep 2023 20:04:02 +0000 gryffin 2337401@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>It's interesting, silver is my preferred metal and black my preferred color footwear (ok boots and booties).&nbsp; It's super easy to find black boots with all manner silver, pewter, blackened nickel all variants of silver hardware.&nbsp; Also plain black boots, not quite as plentiful but definitely good choices.&nbsp; But I have a black blazer with gold buttons.&nbsp; I have a black belt with a gold buckle but finding black boots with gold hardware was very elusive.&nbsp; I saw these NeroGiardini moto boots.&nbsp; I have never seens this brand but I found a couple of good reviews on other boots so I ordered them.&nbsp; For the price the leather is good, on the level of pikolinos, but not luxe like paul green.&nbsp; The gold exterior zip is not functional and interestingly the metal on the heel looks more silver in person than gold.&nbsp; The inner zip which functions is black and blends in and works well.&nbsp; Sizing runs generous.&nbsp; I wear a 3/4 orthotic and needed to snug and laces and have room in the toe box.&nbsp; If you are on the low end of the size you might need to size down.&nbsp; I'm a ture 37 eu and these were a generous but very good fit.&nbsp; With the platform the heel is maybe 1" or even 3/4"&nbsp; Good cushioning and very comfy out of the box.&nbsp; The shaft is quite high but totally comfortable.&nbsp; This brand seems to offer silver, gold and black hardware which imho is awesome.&nbsp; But if you are looking to be matchy matchy like me and on the moto/combat end this is a nice boot.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>
