You guys are right on the predicament of the climate. What I came to feel appropriate in in Tahoe is not the same as here and making that switch is all the more difficult being that milestone age of 40 lol. I think what's throwing you off is the fact that they are full length. Do you have cropped ones? If not, roll the leggings in pic #1 to below the knee, jus to test if a cropped legging would work. And Zapotee was right, it was too hot! So I ran out of the house to do errands in knee length black shorts instead (#3). I think I like the gladiator sandal and tee shirt with this skirt as an attempt to 'casualize' it (if that's a word).
