thanks a lot, ladies!

It seems like my guess about being an hourglass might be right!
I've never thought I could have a pear tendency, mainly because I tend to carry weight more on my belly and hips than on my tights and bottom. Maybe I'm more apple-ish? Maybe both pear and apple? Is that possible? Or maybe I'm just seeing my self differently than anyone else (after losing weight I'm struggling a lot with the way my body looks, I always seem to think I'm bigger or smaller of what I actually am)

Thanks again for your kind response!

From the photos you look well-balanced to me--I'd agree hourglass. Not sure of secondary type though--your shoulders seem as wide as you hips.

While I am no expert on body type, my first instict is to label you an hourglass. However, I am sure some of the YLF veterans will chime in with their thoughts soon.

Hi everyone!

I'm a long time lurker from Italy, I love clothes (and makeup...and nail polish...and necklaces, and earrings...you might think I'm a vain person, but I think style it's a powerful tool for self expression) but I'm pretty clueless about my body type.

In the last couple years (I'm 23) I've lost about 65lbs, I've always tought I was sort of a "straight hourglass" if that is possible, but I'm not quite sure. I tend to carry weight pretty evenly but I have a belly and a kind of flat bottom (not my best features!) I think I have a long torso, slim legs from mid tight to ankle (they look pretty strange in the pictures I posted, I know), a defined waist and full breasts, but looking at my measurements I'm puzzled :-/

I think that I look better with clothes with a defined waist and I love belts at my natural waist or slightly higher if they are the wide elasticated kind. Trousers always tend to give me a muffin top (that's why I love higher rise) and to be HUGE on my bottom and tights (it's pretty impossible to find skinny jeans, I always have to take them to a taylor). In general I prefer (and I think I look better in) skirts and dresses to jeans and trousers (pants? Not sure about the right word )

height: 5'3" (164 cm)
waist: 29inch
hips: 40 inch (widest point, wich to me is at about 10 inch from natural waist)
breasts: 37 inch
under the breasts: 31 inch

(those pictures are kind of distorted but I couldn't manage anything better)
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-.....type1.jpg/
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-.....type2.jpg/

(Ps: yes, those are jeggins I promise I always wear them with tunics outside the house )
