Hmm, I see more rectangle than IT but what do I know! In any case you have a lovely body and I am sure you will have a lot of fun dressing it by Angie's guidelines!

The short legs thing is the camera angle. But you do look as if you have a long torso. That can be a huge advantage! You can belt to define your waist!

And I join the IT/rectangle chorus. Your legs look fab and you can show them off to great advantage. Your instincts about balancing the wide-shoulder blouse (in your other thread) with some fullness at the hip were right on. And you look fab!

LOL. Don't worry about bad pics. We know it's the camera, not you. My brother is a photographer/cinematographer. You really have to go through A LOT to make a camera do what human vision does.

Anyways, I second everybody on the inverted triangle primary / rectangle secondary.

Yes, I think you've pegged your type and secondary type correctly. Don't worry about the unflattering pictures, Sometimes the camera angle will make your legs look shorter than they really are if the camera was pointing down at you.

I don't understand this phenomenon, but I always think I look so much better in the mirror.....and then I see a picture of myself and I want to run and hide! What is it about that??!!

Anyway welcome! You have some really good features, and a wonderful frame for clothes.

I think your shoulders are the broadest point, so I see you as an IT first and a rectangle second. You are in good company. This is the figure of top fashion models. You are lucky to have a bold shoulder line!

You are right you appear to be long waisted which is great for wearing wide belts and more complicated styles in general.

You have lovely fit legs, and slim thighs so you were made for skinny jeans and tapered pants in general!

You look like an inverted triangle to me - I have a similar front view, though I think I'm bustier with less booty from the side.

If so, welcome to the upside-down world of the IT!

Here's my newbie question - can you help me to identify/confirm my body type? I am pretty sure that I am NOT a pear or hourglass. I seem to have characteristics of inverted triangle and rectangle shapes. And after having kids, I seem to be carrying more weight around my middle. Is that pushing me toward appledom? My measurements are bust 39, waist 33, hips 41. I am 5'6". And these are the least flattering pictures of me EVER. It kind of pains me to look at them. Although, as I've looked at them longer, I am getting more used to them. I swear my legs are not this short! But I do think I might have a long torso?
