Thanks for the reply! I'm glad the navy option also looks good. I'm always unsure of pairing navy and black.

I wanted to wear the cream turtleneck, but ultimately thought it wouldn't be as travel-friendly--not so easy to adjust to colder/hotter temps with it. (I also thought it wouldn't hide any stains in case I dropped food on myself throughout the day...!)

I personally think that both look absolutely great. I can't pick a favorite, to be honest.

One question: Your writeup says that you will be wearing a burgundy v-neck, but the pics show you with a cream turtleneck. If you will indeed be wearing the burgundy sweater, I might prefer the cream moto, because I think the color combo will be flattering.

I am putting together an outfit for a business trip where I'll fly early in the morning and be on business during the day with no time to change in between. I'm going to NYC where it'll be cold and rainy. So the outfit needs to be practical but also look nice.

I am planning on wearing tweed salt-and-pepper wide-leg wool pants with a fine-gauge V-neck burgundy sweater and a dressier t-shirt underneath for layers.

I am stumped on the outerwear, torn between a navy military-style wool jacket (H&M from many seasons ago) and a cream faux-leather moto jacket (Zara from this Fall). Can you pair navy with black tweed? (Or black in general?) I think the moto jacket might look better but the wool jacket is a little warmer and more comfortable (pockets for hands as opposed to teensy zippered pockets where hands don't fit and zipper cuts skin).

Sorry about photo quality, lighting is not the best.

Oh yes, to make it even tougher to decide, I just moved into a new place and don't have a full-length mirror yet! Just bathroom mirrors where I can only see down to my hips!

Thanks in advance.
