New here and enjoying your site! I need help trying to decide what to wear to my husband's 20 year high school reunion in 2 weeks. It is being held in an upscale bar on a Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Invitations have been given out via e-mail and Facebook. Tickets are $40 pp and include "food, drinks and music." That's about all the information I have. </p> <p>I am thinking something less than cocktail (it is a bar!), but dressier than normal bar wear. I would need to lose 20 pounds before I could wear slinky bar wear anyway! But hitting the middle here is a bit hard. </p> <p>Thus far, my planned outfit consists of David Kahn white trouser jeans, a low v-neck, dolman sleeve silk chiffon top in a paisley brown (Bellatrix Domain Style #261604 at Nordstrom) with a silky brown cami underneath. Gold strappy low heels, gold hoops, and a gold Tory Burch clutch. </p> <p>Do you think that is appropriate? Too underdressed? I'm trying to strike for something summery, fashionable but not overly trendy, and dressy but not overdressed. If this is not good, can you share some ideas with me?</p> <p>Thank you!!! </p>
