Shape of top great, not a fan personally of the stripes and checks mix, too maximal for me but others may love it. I like pics 3 & 4 the best with the gold flats, the gold really adds something. I wear cropped pants and ballet flats with a fluid top the whole time and feel great in it. I mainly wear fluid tops to cover my apple shape as I don't want too fitted over that area! You don't seem to have that problem! Proportions great. The pattern mixing I've done is more similar things together eg, 2 different florals. mtnsofthemoon on "Help thinking outside the box" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/help-thinking-outside-the-box#post-1785736 Thu, 09 Mar 2017 20:24:34 +0000 mtnsofthemoon 1785736@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Hi ladies, I really need some help "thinking outside the box".  I love these pants and want to experiment with pattern mixing.  But I need some help.  I feel awkward in this look.   I am use to fitted styles and don't do much fluid fits.  Feedback is desperately wanted.  And please excuse the horrible photos.  I am awful at taking "selfies" and actually hate it.  Plus the lighting is horrible in my house.   1st are the pants too short?  2nd:  does this top even go with the pants?  (patterns and shape - i.e. fluid top with fitted bottom) 3rd:  thoughts on shoes?  flats or heels?   4:  Are the proportions ok or way off?   Any other observations welcomed.  I feel so out of my "zone"...but want to push myself to try different looks.
