If you're ok with keeping the look casual, another option might be adding a breezy scarf (you could tie your hair back if it's too warm to wear around your neck) or floppy hat. The button-down shirt makes the outfit feel a *little* less casual. With knit skirts, I either tuck in woven tops (or very nice knit tops), sometimes belting the skirt, or I wear a more cropped woven or knit top over it. Sometimes I add a structured summer jacket, per Lynne's suggestion.</p> <p>FYI - REI has *extremely* generous return policies based on my experience in the past, so it's very likely that they might accept it as a return even if you have already removed the tag and worn the item. One of my friends had hiking boots purchased at REI that started falling apart a few years after the original purchase, and they took them back and gave her a new pair for free, no questions asked. It is reversible and will pack well. It seemed like a good idea but I can't seem to make it look good. I wore it out with the black top, so returning isn't an option. It is a super soft tshirt like fabric. Blouses look too dressy with it. Any ideas?<br /> Ps, although I am new to the site, I already have been inspired by all of you.
