Love those red boots -- those are awesome. As far as pants length goes, my preference is for the pants to be a bit longer (almost brushing the ground).

I agree with the ladies about the OTK boots. Too short for OTK, too tall for "regular" knee-high boots.

First pair is a keeper for sure. OTK 's are too short. I would see them with a skirt, but they don't fit with pants.

Thank you for the suggestions ladies! You guys hit it right on about the OTK boots. They hit me right at the knee cap which ruins the proportions and are not loose enough either. They are going back and my hunt for a light pair of tall boots continues.

I think pants length is preferred to be a little longer (ie closer to the ground) ideally, though I'll confess I wear them the same length as you often enough for fear of utterly ruining my jeans within days. (I swear my jeans need to be discarded only because of battered hems, never because they actually get worn out or faded or saggy elsewhere. It's maddening for my frugal self!) I'd say it was decidedly too short only if there was no 'breaking' on the top of the shoe in front. Which you do have here, though again I'll agree a little more would be much more flattering.

For the second pair of boots, I agree with Sunita. I think the issue is they are too short on you for an over-the-knee style.

I like the red boots and think the pant length is fine. I'm not sure about the OTK ones though. I think the problem is the high contrast between the light boots and the black pants. I think they might look better with a more low contrast pair of pants so there isn't such a defined line between the top and bottom halves of your legs.

The red ones are winners!! (runs off to check out the Aldo site)

I am not sure about the OTK ones. It could be the camera angle. It could be too great a contrast between jeans and boots. It could be they don't fit exactly where they should. If you love them, you could play around with them a bit more. If not, maybe try out some different ones to compare?

Are those OTK boots hitting you at the kneecap or are they really over the knee? It looks like the former to me. In other words, they don't look tall *enough*.

Personally, I don't like the look of OTK boots, so take my opinion for (the little) it's worth!

I love the chunky red ones!

Those red chunky boots are FANTASTIC and I can see them getting a lot of wear for you Mona. The pant length is close to being too short but I think is still ok. How would these boots look with your red straight leg pants?

I'm afraid I have a poisoned eye for over the knee boots so can't really comment on these so will leave to others.

I am liking the first ones! Are you glad you went for it? I think the pants are technically a smidge too short, but doable. I'm not loving the second pair. Traci may have a point about trying them with tights or with a skinnier pant. I think over the knee boots look better when they are a little looser around the top, but that's just me.

I think the red ones look great, and the pant length looks good to me. I agree the tall ones aren't a 10. I think they actually aren't quite tall enough to make that over-the-knee impact.

I'm in love with the chunky red ones. PPL is not my forte, but I love how they look when I can see your ankle. I'd wear them with cropped pants, rolled up slouchy trousers and skirts/dresses to show off the whole bootie.

The second pair does look off in this picture. I'd play around with them a little bit more before returning. How would they look with a mod mini skirt? Or a pair of shorts, with tights? Maybe they just need a more form fitting pair of skinnies?

Love the chunky red boots! I think they look fine with the jeans even if they are not PPL. I personally have trouble getting ANY pants to be ppl. The over knee boots are beautiful but I don't know what they are appropriate with and can offer no advice on them.

I love the deep red chunky boots. I think the pant length works but ideally just a quarter inch off the floor would be best. I personally would accept this length though.
The over the knee boots are beautiful too. I see what you're saying about feeling the proportions are off and I don't know what the answer to that is. It might be the light color of the boots or the length of the top you are wearing. Perhaps it's the very dark pants with the light boots. Whatever it is I think we can figure it out and find a way to make them work. Great choices in boots.

I ordered these pairs from ALDO. The first one is a deep red chunky boot. What do you guys think about the pant length?
The second one is over-the-knee boot. I think it throws my proportions off but I am not sure exactly what the problem is. Please tell me what do you guys think? I can return these at store any time.
