This is a versatile jacket because it is neither too dressy nor too causal to mix with anything. I love everyone's suggestions and I agree with them.

For dressy: In addition to the column of color with the separates mentioned, you might also pick up the colors of the jacket, say white (or is it cream?) pullover shirt or soft sweater and navy (or is it black?) bottom, and accessorize according to above suggestions.

For casual, you can do the same with casual pieces, which will really bring the outfit down a peg: white tee with denim (experiment with shades and silhouettes) or black/navy tee and dark or light denim. I guess a white column of color with casual tee and denim would work for spring (see pictures, below):

Cigarette pant or flare pant, column of black, simple cashmere sweater or blouse, kitten heel or pump also in black. I might prefer a sheer black scarf over a necklace. I lean to keeping the outfit simple. The scarf could also be a pop of color. A sheer poppy red or bright yellow?

Pencil skirt is probably the most classic pairing. It would also look great with flared or wide-leg pants, either full-leg or cropped, with a mid to high rise. I like the idea of a column of black or navy underneath. Good neckline for just about anything underneath -- but would look really nice with a turtleneck I think. Also, to me, it's begging for a chunky, costume-y necklace, either sparkly or boldly coloured.

That beautiful jacket is a classic, you will be able to enjoy it for many years.
I think it will look lovely with a pencil skirt. I also like Runcarla's idea of a column of color.

Thanks ladies!
Runcarla, I really like your suggestion and the picture.
I tried wearing It with my skinny jeans this morning, but the short length paired with the skinny silhouette threw me off and I changed. I'll probably try again with my bootcuts, the proportions should work better.
I think Angie write a post sometimes last Spring about this kind of jackets... Will have to dig through the archives to find It.

You could do a column of colour under - black turtleneck, black trousers, or a dress. If your winters aren't too sloppy - white. Colour would work as well (red, yellow). Throw it over jeans and a T with a pile of pearls or mixed necklaces for a more casual look.

Very pretty jacket Chirico! I think it can go with everything: flared pants, skinny pants, jeans (if you like the dressy/casual juxtaposition) pencil skirts, blouses, tees, lbd ... I can see it with a pearl necklace - very lady-like. But you could also wear with it a more modern, "edgy" necklace.

I'd pair it with a top or sweater with some kind of interesting 'dangly' bits...a ruffled high collar, a bow, a fringy or fuzzy body...

This jacket. I went to check the sales yesterday as I needed and unstructured blazer and/or an open cardigan.
I came up with this. It's not rigid at all, but I am not really used to its short length.
I am going to try It today with skinnies, do you have other suggestions? I'd like to add my long pearl necklace, I think the jacket is calling it, but I am afraid It would look too costume-y.
Thanks!
