Most of the negative comments on the boots, I think, come from not prepping them before wearing. With any boots or shoes I always treat with Tana Protectant. At least two coats, maybe three. This will take three days to do properly, but pays huge dividends. Protect regularly, clean regularly, and make necessary repairs. Good boots will last for years. I have a pair of Double H ( HH Browns) Frye Campus boot knockoffs given to me by my aunt who bought them the year I was born, 1980.
