Lena, thanks - but I cannot wear Talbot's pants at all. They are designed for women with teeny-tiny waists. I can wear their jackets and coats and blouses, but none of their bottoms. I also can't wear anything from White House Black Market - I swear that store is designed for very tall people!!

Shell - white skirt could definetly work, though probably not pencil skirt (I look goofy in most of them). Something that is "pencil-like" but not too high waisted. I do find skirts much easier to fit than slacks. Hmmm.... maybe that is what I should focus on finding?

Hmm, I've been on the lookout for some time and haven't found any I liked.

Talbots has several pairs right now (also in petites). I don't remember the leg shape, though. I think they have one slim/straight leg. And White House Black Market.

Winter-white dress slacks....

I have two special occasions coming up, both are "special" but not special enough for a cocktail dress:

1) Over T-day weekend I have my 25th high school reunion. GAHH!! The dress code is supposedly "casual"... meaning it is not formal affair, but heck, I want to look snazzy anyway!

2) In early December I am traveling to HQ in silicon valley for a holiday party. It will be one long day of meetings, capped off by a dinner at a fancy restaurant. I think a dressy-dress will be way too formal. I am assuming I will have an hour to change between day and evening - may have to change in the office. So a "day to evening" ensemble would be ideal.

I am thinking of wearing my Paris jacket for this event:

http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....ntview.jpg

and

http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....deview.jpg

Sleeves have been shortened. I'd wear it with my white cowl underneath. It doesn't wrinkle, so I could bring this in my laptop bag and swap into it - plus some fancier jewelry and pumps - for the dinner part.

Jeans are totally NOT appropriate for this event - but a classic sheath dress might fly okay. So far, I'm leaning towards winter white dress slacks - but this has been on my list FOREVER and I can never find any that fit and flatter. So I'm asking everyone to be on the lookout for me!!!

Or, suggest other ways I might wear this jacket for these occasions... Maybe I'm not thinking out-of-the-box enough?

HELP!!
