They also don't look supercomplicated, though I don't sew, so what do I know...</p> <p><b>binkle</b>, yes, it's the third parties on Amazon that complicate things. I never had a terrible experience but I can see from reviews that it could happen. I checked reviews for the same seller (other items) and many reviewers complain of the quality or of having been sent the wrong item. I'll check out the new pants at Uniqlo! They had a cool high-waisted pair of wool pants that sat in my shopping cart but it sold out before I made my mind up. Serves me right... I wanted a wintry fabric!</p> <p><b>Lynn</b>--yes, the article posted by kkards definitely gave me pause. And now I can't bring myself to order those pants from Amazon! I do love the silhouette of widelegs; the ones you linked from JCP are right up my alley. I already have three pairs in a similar fabric (thinner, slinkier) and I live in them in the summer. But I wanted warmer options for winter... On a whim I searched Amazon--which these days is such a treasure trove of random and weird items and sources--and found quite a few interesting-looking pants. So interesting that in fact I would consider wearing some of them out of the house as well. </p> <p>I'm still hesitant though. Some of them might verge on cheesy, and also it seems like a shot in the dark to order them given that there are no reviews and it looks like the sellers are based in China so the brands are an unknown quantity. </p> <p>I could use some feedback on any and all aspects you might think of... do these look good? What for? Is it risky to bet on these unknown sellers? Etc... </p> <p>PS. Uniqlo had a couple of similar pants that I was going to order but they are all sold out. </p> <p>Thanks in advance! </p>
