Ended up wearing a denim pencil skirt with a wine-colored top, black cardi, brown tights and brown slouch boots. Everyone seems to stop at dressy casual (if they even get that far). Last year I went more 'semi formal/cocktail" and felt overdressed and my husband has already informed me that he will not allow me to make him wear a jacket this year:-) This dinner really frustrates me because I see any Christmas party as a chance to dress up but then feel silly being clearly overdressed.<br /> I think part of the problem is that I am probably in the younger 15% of attenders to this event and the other ladies seem to think holiday party means holiday sweater. </p> <p>So, if you'll all indulge me. Please stand in front of my closet with me for my annual "what on earth should I wear" tantrum.</p> <p>Here's a link back to my photostream with all my LBD challenge options. Should I try one of these? My only other options are jeans or my black skinnnies. I don't want to wear jeans, but would not object to my skinnies as they are dressier looking.
