I have ordered #2.</p> <p>It was a very tough decision because I love both of them. But, I was leaning to #2 at the start&nbsp;and they have the practical benefit of being a bit larger (bigger field of view) and more robust. Also, they are unlike anything I've had before.</p> <p>Thanks very much for all the input. It was super useful and a lot of fun. The different viewpoints had me switching back and forth several times!</p> <p>And thanks for the compliments about longer hair. Frankly, I was so sick of getting the same haircut every time for a couple of decades that I let it grow without any plan beyond "longer, dammit". It totally has a life of its own, but thankfully on glasses shopping day it behaved a little better than normal. I still wonder if it's large enough, or, at least, I would not want it any narrower. <br />#1 is more owlish and can look like party glasses. It is incredibly hard to "see" yourself in new glasses so the input is very valuable. The near even breakdown in preference tells me that I can't go too far wrong with either one, which helps a lot.</p> <p>I do think the nature of the photos may have skewed the comparison (in different directions for different people). I wish I was thinking about posting the photos&nbsp;when we took them.</p> <p>I'm still not 100% decided, but leaning in one direction. </p> <p>#1 is more retro and interesting, and perhaps more "academic" looking. The brown design detail and nice metal temples (neither really visible in the photo) are subtle but very cool.</p> <p>#2 is more modern and bold, and to quote Angie, more&nbsp;"creative".
