It really depends in the end what you will feel most happy with. When I fall in love with something I am very specific about it and will always see the differences to similar items. It depends on how much you loved specifically the original and whether it's an issue of guilt/rationalization or hard cold budget. So to me the Cole Haans are a different beast, but if you will wear them more because they are the most comfortable and would feel joyful wearing them, then they would still be a good choice for you. I still think the R&amp;Bs are some of the most beautiful boots I have seen in ages, but because of the high heel, for me right now--achey, creaky, and about to be toting a baby around--I know it wouldn't be a smart purchase. I have recently fixated on a pair of Acne-pistol-inspired boots with a sensible heel that are half the price and a brand I have good experience with. I have lusted over those Rag &amp; Bone boots forever (since the below shot of Isla Fisher) and have tried to find the same look in a cheaper version (because there is no way I will ever purchase these at that price - just not in my budget comfort zone), but it always comes down to the shaft height and circumference which I can't seem to find on all of these to compare (but I did last year and there was more gap on all the copies so the look was totally different.)
